Join our exciting 5-day Woodworking Youth Summer Program, designed for children aged 9-14! Over the course of five fun-filled days, young participants will delve into the world of woodworking, learning essential skills and techniques. Our experienced instructors will guide them through hands-on projects, ensuring a safe and educational environment.

Considerations

Our program is designed to foster creativity, build confidence, and instill a love for woodworking that will last a lifetime. Each child will leave with a sense of accomplishment and a collection of projects they can proudly display. Join us for a memorable summer experience full of learning, creativity, and fun!

This program is a five-day class, with each day lasting approximately 5 hours. A 45-minute lunch break is included daily, so please remember to pack a lunch.

  • Day 1: Introduction to woodworking tools and safety, followed by the creation of a simple, personalized project to get everyone comfortable with basic techniques.

  • Day 2/3: Building on the skills learned, children will tackle a more complex project, encouraging creativity and precision. This day focuses on developing measuring, cutting, and assembling skills.

  • Day 4/5: The final day will see the completion of a unique, take-home project that incorporates all the skills learned over the program. Children will also have the opportunity to showcase their work and celebrate their achievements with new friends.

Please remember that wood is a naturally sourced material and may contain flaws or imperfections.

Attire

For your safety and protection, please ensure that you wear tight-fitting shirts, long pants, and closed-toed shoes throughout the class. During heavy machine and power tool operations, it is imperative to tie back long hair, roll up long sleeves, and wear hearing and eye protection. You are welcome to bring your own protective gear, or you may use the ones we provide free of charge.
